Early Influences When I was 15 I read the Book "Dove" by Robin Lee Graham and was changed by the story. At the age of 15 he set sail from California on a 5 year voyage around the world. During this period he grew into a man, met his future wife and lived an adventure few ever get to experience. His voyage was covered by National Geographic magazine and is available in back issues on EBay and other locations if you're interested. Take the time to read this book--I can assure you it will not disappoint you or fail to set your dreams on fire as it did mine so many years ago.
Learning To Sail After graduating from high school I married, finished college and attended Air Force pilot training. Once I had my wings I finally got my first boat, a Laguna Yachts "Windrose 22". My kids were virtually raised on the boat as we hauled little Valhalla all around the nation from assignment to assignment gaining experience in both lake and ocean sailing. :: Photos From this period :: (link inactive)
Post Military Years After 20 years with the Air Force I was ready to return to civilian life and start a new adventure. The problem is I didn't know what to do. I gave Valhalla to my little brother and was without a boat for the first time in nearly two decades.

Why did you name the boat "La Belle Aurore" anyway?  :: Answer ::

Why did you decide on a Nor'sea 27 anyway? :: Answer ::

Dear reader, please be patient as the site is constructed and links are established. A full time job and the many requirements to get things in order for the La Belle Aurore allow very limited time for updating the website. I promise to work diligently over the next few months to provide an excellent resource for those interested in the Nor'sea 27 as well as sailing in general.
